Eligibility Criteria FOR IOCL Recruitment 2025
Educational Qualification & Work Experience

Note: ITI in specified trades like Electronics Mechanic, Electrician, Fitter, Wireman, etc. will be considered.
Age Limit For IOCL Recruitment 2025(as of 31-01-2025)
- Minimum: 18 years
- Maximum: 26 years (General Category)
- Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (NCL): 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years (15 years for SC/ST, 13 years for OBC)
- Ex-Servicemen: Age relaxation as per rules
Selection Process
The selection process consists of two stages:
- Computer-Based Test (CBT) – 100 marks (No negative marking)
- Skill/Proficiency/Physical Test (SPPT) / Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) – Qualifying in nature
Computer-Based Test (CBT) Details
CBT will be an objective-type test requiring mouse/click-based responses. Candidates will not be required to write or type answers. The test consists of 100 multiple-choice questions, each carrying 1 mark, and must be completed within 120 minutes.
Exam Pattern
For Junior Operator (Post Codes 101 to 123):
- Section-A: Professional Knowledge/General Science – 50 Marks
- Section-B: Numerical Abilities – 20 Marks, Reasoning Abilities – 20 Marks, General Awareness – 10 Marks
- Minimum Qualifying Marks:
- 35% in each section
- 40% overall (35% for SC/ST candidates)
For Junior Attendant (Post Codes 201 to 204) [SRD for PwBD]:
- Numerical Abilities – 40 Marks
- Reasoning Abilities – 40 Marks
- General Awareness – 20 Marks
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: 35% overall (relaxed standard for PwBD candidates)
For Junior Business Assistant (Post Codes 205 to 208) [SRD for PwBD]:
- Numerical Abilities – 40 Marks
- Reasoning Abilities – 30 Marks
- General Awareness – 20 Marks
- Basic English Language Skills – 10 Marks
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: 35% overall (relaxed standard for PwBD candidates)
Additional Notes:
- No negative marking for wrong answers.
- CBT will be conducted in English and Hindi.
- Exam details such as date, time, and venue will be available in the Admit Card, which will be issued 10 days before the CBT.
- An Online Mock Test link will be provided before the exam.
- Meeting minimum qualifying marks does not guarantee selection for SPPT/CPT; selection is based on overall performance and available vacancies.
